A a course for new grandparents taught by certified SafeSitter Instructors! Participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. They will also learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, in addition to life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, and injury management. Course fee includes a student handbook. CPR will be taught, but it will NOT be a certification class. Participants may want to bring a bottle of water. 
 
The curriculum covers:
* Child Development and Child Care Guided Discussion
* Demonstration: Diapering
* Behavior Management Guided Discussion
* Injury Prevention and First Aid Guided Discussion
* Choking Child Rescue Guided Discussion, Demonstration and Practice on Child Manikin
* Choking Child Prevention Guided Discussion, Choking Infant Rescue Guided Discussion, and Practice on Infant Manikin
* Choking Infant Prevention Guided Discussion
* Child CPR Guided Discussion, Demonstration and Practice on Child Manikin
* Infant CPR Guided Discussion, Demonstration and Practice on Infant Manikin
