Empowering girls to be Future Technology Leaders. Offering beginner and intermediate level one-day workshops, and mini camps focused on; Introduction to Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, HTML/CSS, Podcasting, Python Programming and Animation & Graphics using Python, and more!

* Students must provide their own Laptop or Chromebook for the class

Program hosted and staffed by Cheshire Youth Services; Workshop is facilitated by CHS  student and Techgirlz volunteer trainer Suchita S.


SPRING 2024 Workshops... 
   
Tues. May 21st  4:00-7:00pm    Cybersecurity Basics: How to Manage Cyber Risks
In this workshop, students will learn about cybersecurity on the personal and corporate level. They will learn how to stay safe from scammers and how to protect their information by creating strong passwords. Then, they will learn the basics of networking, how data travels across the internet and what organizations can do to protect themselves from attackers trying to steal their data.
Pizza will be provided free of charge.

Tues. May 28th  4:00-7:00pm    Introduction to Javascript
In this course, students will learn the basic concepts of JavaScript, learn to talk directly to their website, and create their own JavaScript program using Chrome Developer Tools (DevTools) or Launchbox!
Pizza will be provided free of charge.
