Project Triple Threat (PTT) was founded by Drew Dawson, former NCAA D1 point guard, college coach, and the current head coach at Choate Rosemary Hall, to facilitate player and personal development. In partnership with Cheshire Parks and Recreation Dept., this week-long skills-based basketball day camp offering is designed to expose our younger generation of players to the essential skills, court concepts, and intangibles for developing as an aspiring player and engaged teammate.
MEET COACH DREW DAWSON:
A former NCAA Division I point guard and member of the Lafayette College team that won the 1999 Patriot League Tournament championship and appeared in the 2000 NCAA Tournament, Drew Dawson was inducted into the Lafayette College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 and is currently faculty and head coach at Choate Rosemary Hall. 2023 New England Founders League Coach of the Year, Coach Dawson has maintained one of the more successful prep programs throughout New England over the last decade. The 2023-2024 Founders League Champions, Choate is one of only three New England Prep Class A schools to have won multiple NEPSAC championships (2018, 2011) while also winning eight Founders League titles. Nominated twice as New England Prep Class A Coach of the Year, Coach Dawson led Choate Rosemary Hall to the 2018 NEPSAC Class A championship while posting the best winning percentage in school history. Over a dozen Choate players have ended up earning New England Founders All-League and/or All-NEPSAC honors under his watch, and Coach Dawson has seen numerous former players go on to compete in college at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels, including programs from the ACC, Big East, MAAC, Ivy League, Patriot League, and NESCAC conferences, among others. Prior to Choate, Coach Dawson spent a decade coaching both at the NCAA Division I level and overseas.
Location is TBA and location will be confirmed prior to the start of camp; it will either be held at Doolittle or Dodd Gym.
