Dry Felting Extravaganza - Wool has qualities that can be manipulated with felting needles into painterly or sculptural works of Fiber Art.  Learn the techniques of “painting with wool” in this class for both beginners and those with experience. Bring images to the first class so the instructor may help you plan your project. Wool is a perfect medium to help you express a serious idea, create a whimsical, fantastical, abstract or representational work of art.  Depending on the size of the dry felting project chosen, students may complete more than one piece of art. Instructor: Robin McCahill (6 weeks)        
 
Tapestry Weaving - Students will learn the necessary introductory weaving skills required to create an abstract tapestry that can be turned into a piece of functional art; wall hanging, purse, book cover or part of an upcycled clothing project. You’ll learn to use a tapestry loom while experimenting with different materials gathered from all kinds of different sources; yarn, scrap fabric, ribbon, plastic bags, and natural materials can all be added to your weaving! This is a great way to use up all of your kept scraps from other creative projects. Instructor: Robin McCahill (6 weeks)
