5:30 PM - 6:30 PM	Fishing Derby - Fishing Derby 2026 Join us for the annual Steve Horvath Memorial Fishing Derby! This free fishing tournament is open to ages 16 and under. Check in and on-site registration will take place on site under the small pavilion from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m., pre-registration is encouraged so you can save time and only have to check in! No fishing will be allowed until 5:30 p.m. Fishing will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the upper pond. The derby will conclude at 6:30 p.m. with an award ceremony. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in 3 age categories: 6 & under, 7-11 and 12-16. Come join the fun! Everyone must supply their own fishing rods, buckets, bait, etc.	Mixville Rec. 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM	Mixville Muck Run - Mixville Muck Run 2026 New for 2025: All those who register by Sunday, March 30 will receive a t-shirt at check in. Registrations received on or after March 31 will receive a green or black head band at check in while supplies last!A course will be laid out around Mixville Pond with obstacles along the way. Each team (3 or more individuals) is encouraged to cross the finish line together. Individuals are also welcome to participate. Team costumes are welcome! Participants should expect to get wet & mucky depending on course conditions. Old clothes, sneakers and towel are strongly advised; you may even want a change of clothes for the car ride home! Be sure to tell your friends to join the fun and register early! Check in begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Mixville Large Pavilion. Staggered starts will begin around 11:00 a.m. with older teams starting first. Pre-registration is encouraged and will save you money: Early Bird rate is $5/person. Registration the day of the event is discouraged, but available at Mixville beginning at 10:30 a.m. and will cost $10/person; payment can be check made out to Cheshire Parks & Recreation, cash (exact change) or credit card.
