Mixville Halloween Bash - Mixville Halloween Bash - Pumpkin Decorating 2025
Friday, October 24 at Mixville ParkThe Cheshire Public Library, Artsplace, Cheshire Parks & Recreation, The Cheshire Lions Club and BSA Troop 92 are working together to bring you a fun-filled Halloween event! There will be many activities taking place throughout the evening. Be sure to come in costume for this town wide Halloween Party! 5:00-7:00 p.m.FREE for all ages! Preregistration is required for Pumpkin Decorating & Howl-o-ween. Be sure to register by Wednesday, October 22. Pumpkin Decorating (5:00-7:00 p.m.)Bring your own pumpkin to turn into a Jack-O-Lantern or painted masterpiece. Artsplace instructors and volunteers will be on-hand to provide stencils and guidance. Carving tools provided for use on first come/first served basis (or bring your own) Painting supplies will also be available. Pumpkin carving and decorating will take place beginning at 4:30 p.m. and must be completed by 6:30 p.m. Space is limited so don't wait to pre-register! Cheshire Lions Club Annual Trunk or Treat (5:00-7:00 p.m.)Dress in costume and trick or treat at decorated trunks coordinated by the Cheshire Lions Club. This event has previously been held as a stand alone event at Bartlem Park and we are delighted to work with them to add to the fun of the Mixville Halloween Bash!The Scarecrows Are Coming To Town Award Ceremony (5:00 p.m.)Come by to cheer for the award winners of our Annual town wide Scarecrow Contest! All award winners will be invited to this ceremony to learn what award they have won. Howl-o-ween (6:00 p.m.)Bring your dog on a leash and in costume to the Mixville Halloween Bash to take part in this event within an event! Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and up to date on all of their shots. You will be asked to parade your dog around a designated loop, while our guest judges make their decisions. Winners will be awarded small prizes and hear plenty of “AWWWs”. Spooky Walk (approx. 6:00 p.m.)BSA Troop 92 is back to add to our fun (or fright) this year! They'll prepare a Spooky Walk for all to enjoy. Small groups will be led through various spooky scenes by the Scouts. You won't want to miss it.
