7:30 PM - 9:30 PM    Tennis: Mixed Doubles - Tennis Doubles: Player Summer 2026 Session I
We welcome all men’s, women’s, mixed, and youth tennis doubles teams and individuals. If you do not have a partner, we will assign one who is similar to your level. This league is for all levels, from beginners to advanced, who want to enjoy tennis and meet new people in our community. During the first week, we will run a round-robin tournament (short set games) to get a chance to meet everyone in the program and to determine your seed in the ladder. The seeding will determine which court you will start the following week. The top four seeds will start on court 1, the next four seeds will start on court 2 and so on. When the first match is over, the winning team from court 2 will move up to court 1 and the loosing team from court 1 will move down to court 2 and likely with the other courts. In addition, each team will do rock-paper-scissors to split from your partner and form a new team for the next match. This will allow you to play teams randomly as you move up or down the court. You will play 4 matches (short set games) every week and the game scores will reflect the points earned for each match. For example, if the final score was 4:2, the winning team earns 4 points and the loosing team earns 2 points. Points for every match will be recorded, and the cumulative points will decide the seeding for the following week. If you miss a week, your team will get 0 points; please try to secure a sub from the sub list to avoid this! The seeding in the ladder and the cumulative points will be posted each week.RulesShort set games: First team to win 4 games, tie breaker at 3 all (first team to get 5 points with no deuce) Substitution rules: Must be registered online before the session starts and can only play if a team needs a partner due to absence.

SPARK Business Academy builds real-life skills kids can use now — from money confidence to problem-solving — through hands-on, project-based learning. What sets SPARK Business Academy apart: Our instructors are highly qualified educators, typically teachers from the local public and private schools. Real-life skills kids actually use: Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, decision-making, and problem-solving — not just games or busywork. Learning by doing: students build, create, and apply concepts through hands-on projects, not worksheets. Confidence with money and ideas: kids learn how money works, how businesses are built, and how to think independently. Tangible takeaways: students leave with real projects, plans, or portfolios they can explain and be proud of. Purposeful, structured learning: each day builds toward real understanding, not just filling time.

Starting the college essay can be stressful - but with the right support, it can be an opportunity for rewarding self-reflection. This summer, Ms. DeMeo, a CHS English teacher, will offer an enrichment workshop that is a great way for rising Juniors and Seniors to jumpstart their college essay writing process, get advice on completing their applications, learn techniques on how to approach this essay and get feedback on two drafts. Students MUST attend all three days of the session they sign up for; there is no mixing/matching.

Tennis is a lifelong sport! Learn as a child and enjoy years of fun on the tennis court. Players of all ages will learn the basics of the game: skills, footwork and game winning strategy.
