Greg Schena Memorial Campership Award


The Greg Schena Memorial Campership Award is presented by the Schena Family each summer to honor the memory of Greg Schena (1983-2010). Greg Schena once described Mixville as his favorite place on earth. In addition to the time he spent at Mixville with his family, he was a camper, Counselor in Training, Counselor and Director of Mixville Summer Camps. Greg Schena was a great friend, an active participant and had excellent sportsmanship. 

Toward the end of each summer, staff selects the camper who best embodies Greg's spirit and the Schena Family awards that camper one free week at camp. This brief award ceremony is coordinated with the camper's family and the Schena Family and takes place during the camp day.
