What is the cancellation policy? Is there a fee?   A 50% refund will be given for a cancellation if the date is re-booked.  If the office cannot rebook the date, then no refund will be given.  Requests to move a date are considered the same as a cancellation and will follow this policy.

Are there restrooms available?  Restrooms are available in all Town parks.

Are bounce houses allowed?  No inflatable amusements of any kind are permitted in Town parks.

Are food trucks allowed to accompany my event? What is the process?  Food trucks are permitted, but must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the Town of Cheshire as additionally insured and include a Waiver of Subrogation.  Insurance requirements can be found on our website and on the last page of the pavilion rental form.

Are there electrical outlets?  There are electrical outlets in all park pavilions.

Are there grills located at the pavilions?  There are grills at all pavilions.  Renters will have to provide their own charcoal.

Are dogs allowed?  Dogs are allowed but required to be on leashes at all Town parks.

Are there picnic tables?  All pavilions have picnic tables.  Please call the office for the number of tables under the pavilion you are interested in.

On the day of my event, can I arrive early and/or stay late to set-up and clean-up?  The rental period for all pavilion rentals in all parks is 10am through sunset.   Renters are expected to adhere to these times.

Is the pavilion cleaned regularly?  Pavilions are outdoor structures with a roof but no walls and are subject to weather and public use.

Can additional tents and tables be setup?   Yes, with permission from the Director.  Please note number and size of tents and tables on the rental application form and note where they will be set up.  Large sized tents may need Building Dept. approval.

Do I need to provide liability insurance?  Businesses and Organizations must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the Town of Cheshire as additionally insured and include a Waiver of Subrogation.  Any private individuals having a party where alcohol will be present will also need to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming Town of Cheshire as additionally insured, include a Waiver of Subrogation and include Host Liquor Liability.  Insurance requirements can be found on our website and on the last page of the pavilion rental form.

Is there water we can use?  The Town does not provide a water source in the parks for public use.

What do I do if I show up to my reserved pavilion and another group is occupying it?  Please call the Parks & Recreation office at 203-272-2743.   If the rental is outside of normal business hours (Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:00pm), please call the Police non-emergency number 203-271-5500.  They will contact Parks & Recreation staff who will then get in touch with you.
