Sewing (Kids)
Sew Much Fun - Students will have lots of time to build their skills with many choices for sewing by hand and on the machine. Use colorful felt to sew animals and fun shapes decorated with buttons and stitches. Learn how to use and then design your own patterns. Students will have a choice of projects, from simple to more advanced, including cute handbags, pillows, hobby kit, stuffed animals such as a cat, dog, turtle, whale and more. This class is for beginners as well as previous students. Instructor: Christine Jewell (5 days)
Note: Students registering for both am and pm sessions may bring a lunch and stay for the full day.
Sew Easy - Sewing on a machine is so fun and rewarding! Kids will build their skills learning simple projects sewing animals by hand such as felt birds or bunnies with buttons and colorful stitches. Then learn all about the sewing machine; how it operates, the different parts, and threading. Choice of projects will include small pillows, cute bags, and stuffies. Previous students are welcome to attend and to continue with more advanced sewing projects. Instructor: Christine Jewell (5 weeks)
