A reading partnership between teen volunteers and students in Kindergarten – 2nd graders to help promote confidence & strengthen literacy skills.
The Youth Literacy Program is designed to promote reading confidence and encourage a positive experience with books among students in kindergarten through second grade. Each student will work with their mentor to explore different themed books, participate in a craft, themed worksheets, enjoy group activity, or an indoor game, and have a snack. Volunteers play an important role in this program in helping the young readers have an enjoyable time each week.
