Diary Comics – This class explores diary comics – short, personal comics that capture moments from everyday life. We’ll look at work by cartoonists like James Kochalka, Liz Prince, Dustin Harbin, Julie Doucet, and others as inspiration while creating cartoon versions of ourselves. Through experimenting with different ways of telling stories from our daily lives, students will begin making bite-sized comics that can stand on their own, or taken together over time, can become the foundation for a larger graphic memoir.
