Artsplace Inclement Weather Policy


Inclement Weather
Inclement weather will likely cancel classes at Artsplace. This may include snow, freezing rain and/or icy road conditions. Artsplace staff will consider the weather of Cheshire as well as other surrounding towns where students may live. (School cancellations don’t necessarily cancel Artsplace classes.) Should the weather clear by mid-morning and roads determined to be fine, Artsplace staff will make decisions about afternoon and evening classes. When inclement weather cancels a class, another class will be added to the end of the session. There are several ways to check for cancellations. Checking the Artsplace website at www.artsplacecheshirect.org is the fastest and most reliable way to obtain information. Any cancellation information will appear at the top of the home page. The website will be updated at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You may call the Artsplace office at (203) 272-2787 to listen to the updated and timed recording for instructions regarding classes. The recording will be updated at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please check your email and reply to Artsplace staff when requested.
