Let’s Get Sewing - Overcome the mysteries of the sewing machine and discover how fun and easy it can be! Learn the basics of machine sewing including threading, operating and troubleshooting. Practice using the machine and then move on to simple projects for yourself or for gift-giving. Students will learn a variety of skills including piecing, applique and quilting. Projects will include a 4-patch pin cushion, Boho bags, zippered pouch, or pillow covers. Previous students are welcome to attend and work on their own projects. Instructor: Christine Jewell (5 weeks) No Class: 1/28, 2/4Sew a Holiday Stocking - Get into the holiday spirit and create something truly special this season! Join us for a fun, hands-on sewing workshop where you’ll design and sew your very own Christmas stocking - perfect for hanging by the fireplace or gifting to someone you love. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn basic sewing techniques on the machine and by hand, work with festive fabrics, and add personalized touches like trim, appliqué or embroidery. Stained Glass - This beginning course will teach you the basic steps of cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering your very own stained-glass project. Students will choose from one of the designs and create from a colorful selection of glass. Instructor: Sarah Segovia (1 day) Stained Glass Moravian Star - Learn the basic techniques for cutting glass and assembling this intricate Moravian star ornament. 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM    Colored Pencil - Colored Pencil Holiday Mailbox
Colored Pencil - New students will learn blending and layering techniques required to create works of art suitable for framing. Returning students will continue to work on their own projects with help and guidance from the instructor. New techniques may be learned to enhance their skills and provide the ability to tackle more complex compositions. All students will use Artist quality Prismacolor wax based colored pencils and artist quality Stonehenge paper. Instructor: Norma Curtis (6 weeks) No Class: 2/14Colored Pencil Techniques - Learn the many techniques which can give your colored pencil artwork the look of oil paintings. You will study layering, burnishing, dissolving, lifting color, infusing color and so much more. Emphasis will be placed on achieving correct values, arriving at the desired color and how to achieve specific effects. You will work with artist quality pencils and papers. All supplies are included. Beginners work on projects designed by the instructor and then move on to working on pieces of their own choosing. Intermediate and advanced students work independently with plenty of help and direction from the instructor. Instructor: Rita Paradis (6 weeks) No Class: 1/16, 2/19 Colored Pencil Workshop - Let’s have some fun creating works of art to celebrate the fall season! Step by step instructions will help you create beautiful, framed works of art. Pictures will be pre-drawn for you. No experience is required! The instructor will provide help and guidance to the students. All supplies are provided including a wooden frame and mat to complete your artwork. Instructor: Norma Curtis (1 day)

Drawing Fun - This class is perfect for kids who love to draw, doodle and explore their imaginations. With guided projects and plenty of room for personal expression, young artists will build confidence and have a blast bringing their ideas to life. Instructor: Megan Jeffery (5 weeks) No Class: 1/19, 2/16Still Life Drawing – Take your drawing to the next level while you sketch various still life set ups in this instructional workshop. Build upon your drawing skills focusing on perspective, proportion and shading to create realistic finished pieces in various media. Instructor: Kristy Endriss (1 day)
